My name's Alex, and I have medical conditions that mean I have an unusual walk and can't make facial expressions.

Two weeks after I was refused service in a Cornish pub when they mistook my medical condition for drunkenness, I went on a 300 mile 'pub crawl' to raise awareness, calling at pubs in Coventry, Worcester, Bristol, Exeter, Bodmin, Truro and Falmouth.

What am I doing and why?

I'm trying to raise money so that Changing Faces and Facial Palsy UK can do more work to raise awareness of the need for licensees and door staff to think about how they treat customers who have an unusual appearance. They want to work with industry bodies and businesses in the licensed trade to make improvements and deliver training, based on their guidelines.
